Lytro introduces Camera 3.0

These Lytro cameras are not the small size of lipsticks that it would appear. The actual measurements are 4.4 inches and 1.6 inches square.

These Lytro cameras could re-define “point and shoot”. On one end is the lens, and another with an LCD touchscreen display. There are some power and shutter buttons, but no other buttons, lenses, scroll wheels, and knobs. The purpose of this Lytro is so users can take pictures and adjust them afterword.

These pictures can actually be adjusted on software or the camera itself. For example, if you want to do a shot with something in the foreground and something in the background, you can adjust the photo on the camera so the subjects will shift focus. It has this ability because the Lytro camera image is a 3D map of whatever is photographed.

There are three models that will be available in 2012. The ones with “electric blue” and “graphite” exteriors have 8GB of built-in memory (350 shots), and the “red hot” one has 16 GB of memory for 750 shots. Lytro camera.

iPod nano

The iPod nano will now feature larger icons that makes it even easier to use, thanks to the intuitive Multi-Touch user interface. Frankly, with a screen size that small, I don’t think there really is a need to have so many fingers dance all over the screen at once, but if it were to make life easier, why not? There is also a choice of 16 new digital clock faces to choose from to keep even the most fussy person happy, ranging from the classic analog all the way to Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Fitness buffs who have long used the iPod nano to track their progress will be pleased to know that said device will be able to track your runs and walks the moment it is unboxed without the need for any more accessories, letting it keep a record of your time, pace and distance of your run, in addition to counting how many Big Macs you’ve earned as well as doubling up as a pedometer. There is even motivational real-time voice feedback when you run in 7 languages, but I think a group of girls with pom-poms might do better for some.

iPod nano - As for the iPod touch, it will now play nice with Apple’s new iOS 5 that will come with more than 200 new features such as iMessage, Game Center, Notifications and Wi-Fi Syncing to iTunes. With iMessage, you can send text messages, photos, videos and contact information to an individual or group as long as they too, run on other iOS 5-powered devices like the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.

Motorola Droid RAZR

Nice to know that Google’s Android operating system managed to pull Motorola back from the brink with the original Motorola Droid, and here we are many generations later with the Motorola Droid RAZR, perhaps the amalgamation of both names might prove to be quite the killer. No matter what people say though, you cannot deny that this is also a thing of beauty, basically putting “impossible” into your pocket.

While mom tells us not to judge a book by its cover, you certainly cannot deny the fact that the Motorola Droid RAZR certainly has the bite to back up the bark, so to speak. Sporting 1GB RAM inside alongside Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread right out of the box so that you need not waste your time waiting for software updates, you will also be able to stream and download content from your computer to the device itself immediately thanks to the Motorola MotoCast app. At the front lies a 720p-capable video camera, while there is also an 8-megapixel camera at the back that does Full HD resolution shooting.

Someone should do a drop test on this puppy, as it sports Corning Gorilla Glass that helps protect against surface scratches, in addition to boasting a water repellent coating – and that is not only on the outside, but even on the electrical boards within as well. Something tells me that this is going to be a huge success just like its predecessors, assuming it is priced right. E FUN Nextbook Premium 8

The Nextbook Premium 8 (as you already know by now, most devices that sport a number after the model name tend to depict the screen size, and the Nextbook Premium 8 adheres to this principle faithfully) will come with an 8″ color TFT capacitive multi touch screen which ought to be enough for the average user, but those who are used to higher resolution displays might probably see this as not good enough. Fret not, as with most devices these days, the Nextbook Premium 8 will sport Wi-Fi connectivity, and it does seem to be more of the e-book reader type than a multimedia centric tablet – after all, it comes with an e-book reader software, the Kobo eBook Store app, SlideME application manager, OfficeSuite Viewer and ASTRO File Manager. Powered by Rockchip’s RK2918 processor, Flash programs will be able to run on it just fine with Flash 10.1 installed, while thankfully the operating system can be upgraded in the future via its over the air (OTA) update capabilities.

Nextbook Premium 8 - Not only that, this is the first model under the Premium range that will feature a 2.0-megapixel front facing camera just in case you’re up for some video calls, while 4GB of internal memory can be further augmented using a microSD memory card slot (to carry around another 16GB of data), sporting a mini USB port, integrated speakers and a 4-way G-sensor.

Nokia Lumia 710 unveiled

Here are the Nokia Lumia 710, the Nokia Lumia 710 takes on a more youthful appearance, where it has the ability to exchange back covers in different colors to suit your mood and fashion sense for that particular day – bringing back memories of those Xpress On covers in the past. Well, enough about history – the Nokia Lumia 710 is clearly future forward in terms of software, which we will cover in greater detail after the jump.
Too bad it comes only in black and white colors, but at least the back covers have a far wider range to choose from – black, white, cyan, fuchsia and yellow. In front lies a 3.7″ display at 800 x 480 pixel resolution with a ClearBlack TFT which is touted to deliver great looking colors as well as readability in bright sunlight. When you flip the Nokia Lumia 710 over like a burger patty, you will find a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with an LED flash that also does HD video recording at 30 frames-per-second.
